“Whatever’s good for your Soul…Do That!” Every time I read this quote, my heart smiles. For far too long, my life was overwhelmed with doing things that were good for everyone else at the expense of my own soul’s happiness. Today, I live life for me and I can honestly say, I’ve never been happier! Turning 40 is a milestone that a lot of people dread but I’ve decided to fully embrace this moment in time. Shoot, you only turn 40 once right?! I may as well enjoy it and make the rest of my days count for something. My life’s journey has been full of ups, downs and downright unbelievable moments that have come to shape the person I am today. I can’t change the past, but I can make sure my future is filled to capacity with heartwarming moments that will outweigh the nonsense of my past. “ReFresh” is the first of many adventures that I’ve decided to share with others and what better timing then to launch it than on my 40th Birthday!
The concept of this blog is to write about my views and experiences in hopes of helping others be refreshed and inspired to see their own life’s journey in a new way. There will be writings from the heart of others I am connected to as well so feel free to leave comments, add to the post or contact me to share your thoughts and feelings on the various topics we discuss or those you would like to discuss. Oh, let me state now; I am unapologetic about my views and opinions shared here so if anything you see offends you… ok. (If you know me personally, you know the face and shoulder shrug that goes with that statement) We all see and interpret things differently, that is what makes us all beautiful individuals. As my grandma would say; “girl, you chew the meat and spit out the bones.” We all at some point in life, need a little refreshing to continue the journey and to live as holistically as possible.
With that being said, I pray that your life be blessed and your soul open to the words expressed the pages of this blog. Know that your life, your hopes, your dreams are valid and they matter!
